More details are emerging about the early-morning brawl involving Chris Brown, Drake, members of their respective entourages and rapper Meek Mill — but the picture of what happened isn’t really getting clearer.
We know that a fight occurred early Thursday (June 14) at WIP in lower Manhattan, that Brown suffered a cut on his chin and that Drake was there. But initial reports that the brawl sparked when Drake took exception to Brown sending a bottle to his table are coming under dispute, and Drake’s rep now says he didn’t actually take part in the fight.
“Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at WIP,” the rep tells TMZ. “He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”
Meek Mill, however, may have taken part. Mill, who’s currently touring with Drake and was with him at the club, reportedly jawed with Brown and a member of Brown’s crew before the fight, and a source tells TMZ it was Mill who hit Brown with a bottle.
Five people came away from the fight with minor injuries. No one was arrested.
