Lindsay Lohan’s troubles continue following an accident Friday (June 8) on the Pacific Coast Highway. The driver of the other vehicle is telling TMZ that Lindsay tried to leave the scene and that her people tried to pay him off to keep quiet.
Lindsay was driving to the set of Lifetime’s Elizabeth Taylor biopic “Liz & Dick” on Friday afternoon when her rented Porsche collided with a large truck — Santa Monica Police are saying it was a dump truck and other outlets are reporting it was an 18-wheeler.
The truck driver, James, says he called 911 after the accident while Lindsay and her male assistant got out of the crashed Porsche and into an Escalade. James also says Lindsay’s assistant picked up a bag, “filled it with something” and put clothes on top of it.
The Escalade driver then allegedly offered James money, saying they could “go to the bank” to get cash. James adds that the driver and Lindsay’s assistant then tried to pressure him into staying quiet.
“Him and the guy took me across the street and told me this was some kind of famous person and they didn’t want to be in the media,” James says. “But I’d already called 911 because they were trying to get away from the scene. But they packed a bag and then the limousine driver told me, ‘Don’t mention the bag to the cops.'”
Who do you believe: Lindsay or the truck driver?
