Kate Middleton’s image has been Photoshopped into oblivion on countless occasions (bump watch, anyone?) but never quite like this: The New Republic turned the Duchess of Cambridge’s usually dazzling grin into a more Austin Powers-esque mouthful of yellow, rotting teeth.
The cover story actually has nothing to do with Middleton or even the royal family in general — it’s about what the magazine deems is the decaying state of the British government. But surely the editors that chose the pic figure Middleton’s distorted image is much more likely to sell magazine covers than that of, say, Prime Minister David Cameron.
Do you think Prince William’s bride is truly becoming the face of the United Kingdom? Or is the New Republic using her likeness just to sell magazines?
