“Bachelorette” contestant Kasey Kahl (“guard and protect your heart” guy who went on to date Vienna Girardi for eight months) was jailed back in January after a “‘Jersey Shore’-type brawl” where he allegedly attacked a man outside a night club, then smashed the man’s girlfriend when she tried to intervene.
Now TMZ is reporting that months later, prosecutors have decided there is enough evidence to charge Kahl with felony assault for the Jan. 15 altercation. After charges were filed, a judge issued a warrant for his arrest and Friday morning (Aug. 3), the police took Kahl into custody.
According to legal documents, law enforcement officials believe Kahl was drunk and had been huffing paint thinners at the time of the fight. Kahl has reportedly been charged with two counts of felony assault, one count of battery with serious bodily injury and one count of public intoxication.
Kahl’s representatives previously accused the alleged victims of starting the fight because the “wanted their 15 minutes, which they received,
and now those 15 minutes are over.”
Looks like the 15 minutes aren’t over just yet.
UPDATE: Kahl has been released from jail and tells TMZ that he never huffed paint. He has never “even smoked marijuana.” He also says he was punched first and was only defending himself and that he never struck the woman.
