Oft-troubled singer Bobby Brown has entered treatment for alcohol addiction, according to TMZ. Ex-husband to the late Whitney Houston, Brown reportedly admitted himself into a rehab facility recently after “he realized he couldn’t do it on his own,” says a source close to the singer.
The former “New Edition” member is being treated for alcohol abuse issues, from which he has suffered for many years.
The source also says that Brown “decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children’s sake.”
The father of five — including his daughter with Houston, Bobbi Kristina — was arrested for DUI in March, just a month after Houston drowned in a hotel bathtub following cocaine use. Brown was also convicted of a DUI in 1996.
