“Bachelorette” winner Jef Holm called it “bogus” that a “source” would say he and fiance Emily Maynard were fighting during a recent family vacation in South Carolina because of allegations that Emily was caught sexting another man. But Jef’s brother, Mike Holm, is saying it’s all true.
“I can tell you that it’s all 100 percent true. I was there and I heard the fight and watched the whole thing go down, Emily leaving and everything,” Mike tells Us Weekly after reading the magazine’s story on Wednesday (Aug. 22). “I love my brother very much and, like the rest of our family, I just want him to be happy.”
After the story broke in Us, Emily told People magazine, “It’s 100 percent not true.”
According to reports, the couple had a huge fight while vacationing with Jef’s family and Emily’s 7-year-old daughter, Ricki, after Jef reportedly discovered explicit texts and photos from another man on Emily’s phone.
“It’s funny to me,” Jef tells People. “We were in a gated community in a private home with just my brothers and sisters. It’s just bogus a ‘source’ would [say] we were fighting. None of that is true.”
Despite confirming the sexting story, Jef’s brother Mike says he hopes Jef and Emily will stay together.
“We all love Emily, too. Mistakes happen, we all get that,” he says. “I hope they can work it all out, but as far as your story goes, it’s all true.”
