The fall TV season gets a very early start Wednesday night (Aug. 8) when NBC offers up a commercial-free preview of its new comedy “Go On” after its prime-time Olympic broadcast.
You don’t have to wait that long to see a little bit of the show, though. Hit play at the top of the post for a clip of “Go On” stars Matthew Perry and John Cho sharing a not entirely comfortable moment. The awkwardness is exclusive to Zap2it for the next several hours.
Perry plays Ryan King, a sports-radio host whose wife dies a month before the series opens. Cho is Steven, Ryan’s boss at the station, who orders him to attend group therapy to help cope with his loss.
As you can see, neither man is exactly at ease talking about the sensitive subject.
The ad-free “Go On” preview airs at 11:08 p.m. ET Wednesday on NBC. The show will have its regular premiere at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
