The CW’s latest comic book series “Arrow” should have no trouble getting genre fans on board — but if they needed an extra draw, they certainly found him. Beloved “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood” star John Barrowman has signed on for a recurring role in the Green Arrow’s world this season, EW reports.
Barrowman’s character is known simply as “the well-dressed man” in casting breakdowns… which might lead one to believe that the character’s actual name will be a very big reveal, no? He’s described as a mysterious, wealthy man who is “an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”
We can also reveal that the sophisticated, authoritative character is “some kind of power broker” and he’s got a complicated relationship with Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) mother, Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson). And not complicated in the fun way.
Expect to see Barrowman make his first appearance in episode 4. “Arrow” debuts Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
