CBS officially announced her casting on Monday (Aug. 27), a couple weeks after reports surfaced that she would guest-star on the long-running sitcom. She’ll appear in two episodes as a character named Missi, a family friend of Walden’s (Ashton Kutcher) who comes to visit.
Her time at Walden’s coincides with a leave from the Army for Jake (Angus T. Jones), and the two of them develop a relationship while he’s home.
The “Two and a Half Men” gig will be Cyrus’ first TV role since she hosted “Saturday Night Live” in March 2011. She recently starred in the movie “LOL” (which had a blink-and-miss-it theatrical release earlier this year) and has been making headlines of late for her new hairstyle.
“Two and a Half Men” premieres Sept. 27 on CBS.
