“This is 40,” Judd Apatow‘s “Knocked Up” sequel, doesn’t focus on Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen and their post-one-night-stand life. Rather, it follows Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd‘s characters as the couple approach their milestone 40th birthdays.
Obviously Apatow is great at combining comedy with genuine emotion and heart, and it’s easy to see “This is 40” will follow in that vein. Check out the newest trailer (featuring cameos from Melissa McCarthy, Megan Fox, Jason Segel and Albert Brooks) and judge for yourself. As in “Knocked Up,” Mann and Apatow’s real-life daughters costar.
Is this a worthy sequel? Is it a little heavier in tone than you were expecting?
