The hits keep on coming with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The movie star and former California governor’s new memoir is proving to be a deep well of gossip fodder. The latest revelation is Schwarzenegger admitting to an affair with his one-time co-star Brigitte Nielsen in the 1980s.
The news of the Nielsen affair comes a day after “60 Minutes” released an excerpt of its interview with Schwarzenegger in which he reveals fathering a child with his housekeeper was the “stupidest thing” he did during his relationship with Maria Shriver.
It’s unclear how stupid he thinks having an affair with Nielsen was. He does, however, call it “hot” in his memoir “Total Recall,” the AP reports.
Nielsen and Schwarzenegger co-starred in the 1985 movie “Red Sonja,” and their “fling” occurred during filming. Schwarzenegger and Shriver were living together at the time, and Schwarzenegger writes the affair made him more interested in marrying Shriver.
Nielsen, incidentally, revealed her affair with Schwarzenegger in a memoir of her own last year.
