LeAnn Rimes might’ve checked herself into treatment for anxiety and stress right before Labor Day weekend, but the singer was in top form at a Wisconsin concert just eight days later. The all-smiles singer performed new material and thanked fans for their patience and support during her hard times.
According to People, Rimes addressed the “elephant in the room” and told fans that she was doing well after checking into rehab, where she’ll return after she finishes a few Midwestern concert dates. “I’m totally cool and so happy; I think I’m about to cry,” Rimes said. “Thanks for being awesome fans – patient and understanding.”
As for the set, the 30-year-old performed for 70 minutes and 14 songs, including some new material described as edgy, reflecting her personal troubles, that will appear on a new album scheduled to be released next year.
“I’m pissed off at a lot of things, and I just can’t say it,” Rimes said on stage. “So, it comes out in the music.”
