It’s becoming increasingly rare that a contestant on “The Voice” is able to make Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton all turn their chairs around — but Cassadee Pope made it look easy. (Okay, so Cee-Lo hesitated a bit. But not for long.)
Pope is young but no newbie to music. She was in the popular band Hey Monday, which toured with Fall Out Boy — Pete Wentz even made a video to show his support for the singer. (Uh, and if you’re anything like us, you might recognize her from “Degrassi Goes Hollywood,” when she made a cameo appearance at the Canadian store eating ketchup chips with Wentz and Craig Manning. Just saying.)
She chose to sing Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn,” and got standing ovations from all four judges after adding a new twist to the familiar song.
Ultimately, Pope chose Team Blake after he told her that he believes with “200%” of his heart that she will be a “superstar.” Watch the video below — do you agree?
