Prince Harry has been in the news frequently as of late, but now it’s for an entirely different — and much more serious — reason.

The third in line to the British throne arrived in Afghanistan on Friday (Sept. 7) on a four-month military deployment as an Apache helicopter pilot. Now a spokesman for the Taliban, the Islamist militant movement in Afghanistan, has told NBC News that they plan to kidnap or kill Prince Harry.

The spokesman calls the Prince “a precious bird” and says if they are unable to abduct him, which is their main priority, they will kill him. The group plans on using their spies within the Afghan security forces to keep tabs on him.

They also plan to continue to fire rocket-propelled grenades at Apache helicopters, since that is what Prince Harry flies.
