The season premiere of “Shark Tank” and a pair of news programs carried ABC to an across-the-board ratings win Friday night. “America’s Next Top Model” hit a (modest) high for its current cycle as well.

ABC averaged 5.9 million viewers and a 3.8 rating/7 share in households for the evening, topping second-place CBS (4.8 million, 3.2/6) by a little more than a million viewers. NBC (3.1 million, 2.1/4) edged FOX (3 million, 2.0/4) for third. The CW drew 1.1 million people and a 0.8/1.

ABC was the only network to score above a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49, finishing with a 1.8. NBC took second in the demographic with a 0.9, and CBS and FOX tied for third at 0.7. The CW posted a 0.5.
