According to a studio source, the package contained a white powdery substance (later found to be harmless) and a note “that read something like, ‘This is what will happen to you if Bristol Palin stays on [the show].'”
Now a contestant on “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars,” currently filming on the CBS studio lot, Palin was also the target of a similar threat when she first competed on the show in 2010.
After Tuesday night’s (Oct. 2) “DWTS” results show, Palin told us she is often a victim of hate mail: “I don’t [read fan comments] because people have such opinions on me. ‘Oh, I hate you, I want you dead, I’m going to shoot my TV’ or ‘I love you guys.’ I don’t read any of it. I’m not very engulfed in it.”
Although Bristol and her partner, Mark Ballas, earned the lowest scores from the judges this week, they received enough votes to move on in the competition, irking many fans.
“Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.
