Taylor Swift takes an unwanted walk down memory lane with Ellen DeGeneres for an episode of the funnylady’s talk show airing Thursday (Oct. 25). DeGeneres quizzes the 22-year-old “Red” singer about boyfriends past — and Zac Efron, who Swift never actually dated.
“So let’s just talk about the new CD then. Which song is about Zac on the new CD?” DeGeneres jokingly asks.
“There’s nothing really about Zac on the CD because we didn’t date,” Swift deadpans back.
Swift then asks her who “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is about, but then suggests a game where she’ll show the singer photos of herself with various guys and Swift can ring a bell when she gets to the right one.
“Ok, ring it on three different guys. We’ll narrow it down,” DeGeneres says. “So ring it three different times. Then it’s still out there. We still don’t know.”
DeGeneres flashes pics of Swift with various rumored exes (and some guys she didn’t actually date), like Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and Joe Jonas, but Swift refuses to ring the bell. So DeGeneres takes over the bell-ringing duties for her.
Couple of things to note: Swift blushes ferociously when Cory Monteith’s photo pops up on the screen, and Jake Gyllenhaal’s pic is noticeably absent from the set.
“This makes be feel so bad about myself. Every time I come here you put like a different dude up there on the screen. And it just makes me really question like what I stand for as a human being,” Swift says.
