Comedian Katt Williams was up to some not-so-funny antics in Oakland, Calif., on Wednesday (Nov. 14) night when he was reportedly arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Oakland Tribune, Williams, who was in town for a Friday show at the Oracle Arena, allegedly struck an 18-year-old man in the head with a bottle. The man, who was bleeding from the head, was taken to the hospital after the incident. Police then set out looking for Williams, who the man said was responsible for the alleged assault, which took place in a tour vehicle parked at the Courtyard Marriott.
Authorities found Williams at a nightclub where he was arrested. Police say Williams was cooperative and was subsequently interviewed Thursday morning. He has not been booked into jail.
No word yet on what caused the confrontation or what the relationship is between Williams and the 18-year-old man, but police say they were told the alleged victim was part of a group that was invited back to the tour bus before the altercation occured.
