Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is serious about getting that scandalous sex tape off the Internet. His attorneys are sending cease and desist letters to websites posting clips and stills from the video, allegedly stolen from Johnson’s hacked cell phone.
TMZ reports that the two sites that originally posted clips from the tape — including WorldStarHipHop — have already pulled the content, and any sites that don’t comply with the request will face legal action.
Johnson has reportedly contacted the FBI to help determine who’s responsible for stealing the footage. If the culprit is found, serious penalties could follow. A hacker was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for leaking personal material of celebrities including Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis.
The swift action on Johnson’s part stands in contrast to the recent sex tape scandal involving pro wrestler Hulk Hogan. Despite Hogan’s threatened legal action, the footage from his tape was never removed from the site that originally posted it.
