Frankie Muniz, the former child star known best for his role in “Malcolm in the Middle,” was hospitalized recently for suffering a mini-stroke. The 26-year-old was taken to an emergency room in Arizona several days ago, but doctors haven’t figured out the cause of the incident.
After Muniz started “acting really weird” and having trouble speaking and understanding words, the 26-year-old’s friends took him to the hospital to get checked out, TMZ reports. Muniz is currently awaiting test results so doctors can try to determine why the stroke occurred.
“I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a ‘Mini Stroke’, which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!” Muniz tweeted earlier today.
Tomorrow is Muniz’s birthday, but this news means he probably won’t be out partying hard with his friends. Doctors orders are to “take it easy,” which could potentially prevent Muniz from going on tour with his band, Kingsfoil, starting Friday.
