Miley Cyrus was all smiles in Christmas pics with her fiance, Liam Hemsworth (yes, they’re both wearing bands on their left ring fingers, and no, we don’t think they’re wedding rings either). And on Monday (Dec. 24), she gave her fans something to smile about too — a video of her remake of Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit “Jolene.”
The performance was filmed this summer as part of Miley’s “Backyard Sessions,” during which the 20-year-old singer and her band performed some of her favorite songs. “Jolene” is the last in the series, which also included acoustic covers of Bob Dylan’s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” and James Shelton’s “Lilac Wine.”
So did she do her godmother proud? (Yep! Dolly is Miley’s godmother!) Check out the video below and judge for yourself.
