The “Bored to Death” star has booked a guest spot on “Parks and Rec,” according to the Huffington Post. In an episode set to later this season, he’ll play the owner of a Pawnee video store that has, like pretty much all brick-and-mortar video stores, hit the skids.
Leslie (Amy Poehler), however, joins forces with Schwartzman’s character — the awesomely named Dennis Lerpiss — to have the store designated a historic landmark. Because, well, it’s what Leslie does.
The “Parks and Rec” role will be the first TV work for Schwartzman since “Bored to Death” ended its three-season run on HBO last year. He co-starred in Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” earlier this year; his next movie is “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III,” due out in February.
