“American Horror Story” is winding down with its second season, killing off patients and staff at Briarcliff mental institution like it’s going out of style. But creator Ryan Murphy isn’t stopping there. He’s already sharing details with EW about the new horror looming in Season 3.
“I don’t think anything could ever be as dark as the mental health care system in our country,” says Murphy. “I sorta feel like for the third version I want to do something that’s a little bit more ‘evil glamour.'”
“One of the things I missed this season was I really loved having that Romeo & Juliet youth story with Violet and Tate,” Murphy continues. “I want something like that again and we’re doing something like that in the third season.”
He also adds that the they’re thinking about shooting the show outside of Los Angeles, which was the setting and location for Season 1 and the filming location for Season 2.
“We’re contemplating shooting it in a place in the country where true horror has been. We’ve got lots of delicious plans,” says Murphy.
