Six weeks after Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent was charged with intoxicated vehicular manslaughter in the death of his teammate Jerry Brown, there has been another Cowboys DUI arrest.
Defensive lineman Jay Ratliff was arrested Tuesday (Jan. 22) after he collided with a semi-truck in Grapevine, Texas reports NBC 5. A Grapevine police officer says that Ratliff did not even realize he had caused the crash when he was questioned at the scene.
Police say Ratliff refused sobriety tests at the scene and was subsequently arrested. The results of the mandatory blood test at the hospital are pending. Ratliff was released on a $500 bond Tuesday morning.
Ratliff sustained minor injuries in the collision, while the driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured. The Cowboys have not commented on Ratliff’s arrest.
