Maybe Kim Kardashian and Kanye West actually meant it when they said they didn’t want their firstborn child to spend any time in the spotlight. Though it’s been reported that their baby will make some capacity of an appearance on Kardashian’s E! television shows, it turns out the couple has turned down a major offer for Kimye baby pictures.
TMZ is reporting that Kardashian and West declined a $3 million offer from an overseas tabloid for first dibs on pictures of their new baby. Considering Kardashian is only supposed to be a little over three months along, it sounds like outlets are trying to claim the rights to those photos early.
“Our sources say the couple has no plans to sell the pics to ANYONE … right now,” TMZ reports. “We’re told they’re aware public demand will only increase over time — and still might consider offers in the future.”
Thus far, Kimye hasn’t gone about introducing the baby news the traditional Hollywood way. Instead of breaking the fact that Kardashian is pregnant through a tabloid like Us Weekly or People, West shared the news to the audience at his concert shortly after midnight on Dec. 31. It wouldn’t be too surprising if the couple decided to post the first images of their newborn to their own social media sites instead of selling them to an outlet.
