Seth MacFarlane started his takedown of celebrities a few weeks before his Oscars hosting gig is set to start. The “Family Guy” creator spent the night of the 70th Golden Globes live-tweeting the event by good-naturedly mocking those who were featured on the NBC telecast.
One of his funniest jabs was at Tommy Lee Jones’ grumpy face during Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s presentation of Best Lead Actress in a Comedy or Musical. “Tommy Lee Jones laughing uproariously at Wiig and Ferrell. I’m told this is also his sex face,” MacFarlane tweeted.
He also took aim at Robert Downey Jr., who was presenting the Cecil B. Demille award to Jodie Foster. “Downey’s looking very ’10 paces, then turn and fire’ chic tonight,” he wrote.
Also among those to be teased by the upcoming Academy Awards host were Bill Murray, Liev Schreiber, Jeremy Irons and Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno. But MacFarlane wasn’t the only one live-tweeting the Jan. 13 event. Lindsay Lohan also shared her two cents with her 4.9 million Twitter followers, though she spent her time praising those in attendance at the Golden Globes instead of criticizing them.
