After the rather surprising ending to the first part of the two-episode story on “Castle,” what could the second episode, “Hunt,” do to top things? How about a secret trip to Europe and a rather violent meeting with a long-lost father? Get a glimpse of both in these two videos.
If you recall from last week, Alexis (Molly Quinn) and a college friend have been kidnapped by shady and thus far unexplained reasons. The FBI is on the case, along with — of course — Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic). There’s just one big problem: Alexis managed to make a call to her dad, and the signal came from Paris, France.
The FBI can’t just go in and find the girls in a foreign country. Time might be running out. What is a concerned, wealthy and proactive dad to do? Of course he heads straight for Paris.
Is it going to become an issue that Castle left without saying anything to Beckett or to his mother? Does this secrecy have any importance to the man’s plan?
The second video does not explain that directly, but it does show us the first meeting between Castle and a mysterious man played by guest star James Brolin.
This would be the long-lost father of Richard Castle. A man who, apparently, calmly shoots multiple bad guys in the forest and then says sarcastic things when it’s time to make a getaway. A man who knows all about secret people tracking Castle via cell phone.
Oh, and Alexis was the target of the kidnapping.
What’s going on? Who is this guy? It looks like we are going to find out when “Hunt” airs on Monday, Feb. 25 at 10pm on ABC.
