Is this latest Harrison Ford rumor true? If a new report is to be believed, the actor is already locked to reprise his role in the new “Star Wars” movies.
Latino Review has learned through sources close to the project that Ford has signed on for a “significant” part as Han Solo, who he portrayed in “Star Wars: Episodes IV” through “VI.” This isn’t confirmed by Disney, but it does align with what has been reported in the past. Not long after “Star Wars: Episode VII” was first announced, Entertainment Weekly reported that Ford would be “open” to a role in the new series, as would be Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.
In addition to the new “Star Wars” sequel series, Disney has also confirmed spinoff films are in the works. It’s unclear if Ford’s involvement would stretch as far as a potential Han Solo prequel movie, or specifically what he’ll be doing in “Episode VII” and beyond is. J.J. Abrams is directing “Star Wars: Episode VII” off a script being written by Michael Arndt, and it’s expected in theaters in 2015.
