If Jess and Nick wanted to keep their kiss a secret, they’re certainly getting disappointed. After all, by the end of the next “New Girl” episode, absolutely everyone knows exactly what happened. On the plus side, a new crisis has erupted: There is one parking spot and everyone wants it.
Not that things have totally returned to normal between Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel). One might even say that things are downright awkward. Brushing teeth with a roommate around is uncomfortable at the best of times. And this is definitely not the best of times.
Life isn’t much easier between Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Nick either. Fortunately, this awkwardness stems from who gets the parking space and not from an uncomfortable mutual attraction.
Is a beer enough to get a parking space? What can Jess do to beat that?
Of course, determining who gets the parking spot is complicated by the fallout from the big kiss. Schmidt has found out and is thoroughly prepared to use this fact to his advantage.
Nick isn’t much of a decider. This isn’t a shock. So let’s just focus on the incredible expressions Schmidt makes every time Nick’s back is turned.
While all this parking-related mayhem is happening, Cece (Hannah Simone) is busy trying to make things work with one of her past dates.
Cece would probably do better if Winston (Lamorne Morris) didn’t show up desperate for a condom.
The “Parking Spot” episode of “New Girl” airs Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 9pm on FOX.
