Robin Roberts only returned to “Good Morning America” on Feb. 20, but she was right back in the swing of things at the 85th Academy Awards on Feb. 24. Looking healthy in gorgeous in a sleeveless blue velvet Marc Bouwer gown, she helped host the Oscars red carpet pre-show on ABC.
“To my wonderful, beloved #TeamRobin. This one’s for you. XO,” she tweeted prior to the show.
Roberts was finally deemed healthy enough to return to work after she had a bone marrow transplant to help treat her for Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). It was at the 2012 Academy Awards that Roberts first felt the symptoms of the illness, so she has said it was a personal goal to be well enough to host the pre-show in 2013. “I keep pinching myself, and I realize this is real. This is actually happening,” she said upon her long-anticipated return to “GMA.”
