“The Big Bang Theory” continues to dominate Thursday night ratings, though “American Idol” bounced back some from a drop a week ago, despite a rather horrible night of performances.

ABC’s new “Zero Hour,” which premiered to only 6.3 million viewers a week ago, lost a million viewers off its debut episode. Meanwhile, the big death on “The Vampire Diaries” saw the CW’s popular drama gain over half a million viewers.

CBS won the night, but only just barely, with an average of 13.52 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/13 share in households. FOX was right on its heels with 13.504 million viewers and a 7.9/12 share. There was a big drop off to ABC in third at 7.2 million viewers and a 4.9/8, followed by NBC at 3.2 million and a 2.1/3 and the CW at 2.2 million and a 1.4/2.

In the adults 18-49 demo, FOX won by a decent margin at 3.9, followed by CBS (3.3), ABC (2.2), NBC (1.2) and the CW (0.9).
