Since Mondays are just the worst, we here at Zap2it
have decided to give your week a much-needed wake-up call with 10 TV
teasers — just to remind you that when the work day is over, your DVR
waits to welcome you home.
This week, our Monday Kickstart
includes an awkward moment on “Psych,” a “Revolution” love triangle, and some Glenn/Maggie “Walking Dead” scoop.
“The Carrie Diaries”: In tonight’s (fantastic) episode, Sebastian decides he’s through playing games with Donna, and it’s time for him to make an epic, John Hughes-worthy grand gesture. He enlists Mouse as his sidekick, and their dynamic is positively delightful. Meanwhile, expect a very unexpected shake up in Walt’s romantic life. Perhaps most importantly, though, look for Carrie to meet not one, but two of the great loves of her life — she wears her first pair of Manolo Blahniks, and she drinks her first Cosmopolitan.
“The Americans”: Do you still miss “The X Files” and the cigarette-smoking man? If so, you’re in luck — “The Americans” has its own sinister smoker in the March 6 episode, “Trust Me.” And he is looking to get information out of Philip.
“Castle”: The next “Castle” episode pulls out all the stops in its ode to the horror genre. Not only is there a haunted (and possibly deadly) video tape, but the detectives manage to work in such tropes as a cabin in the woods and an abandoned insane asylum during their hunt for the (probably not supernatural) killer.
“Happy Endings”: Max is going to have a very complicated dating life when the show returns. In addition to a string of odd-choice boyfriends, look for the show’s resident gay guy to date a girl. Why the sudden switch? Let’s just say she comes with some really awesome tickets to a sporting event.
“Revolution”: There might be more than one love triangle forming in the second half of the season. You’ve heard about the one involving Annie Wersching, but based on a teaser we saw at Paleyfest, another one may pop up too. Let’s just say that Rachel joining the group might make things a little more complicated for Miles and Nora.
“Shameless”: So cousin Patrick (guest star Brent Sexton) faked his own Aunt Ginger’s will to get possession of the Gallaghers’ house. What are their options to keep their home? Lip gets busy boning up on probate law, Mandy tries a solution courtesy of the Brothers Milkovich and Carl … well, Carl the sociopath gets creative with a common household item.
“Psych”: Shawn decides that in the wake of his dad being shot, he needs to move forward in his life — by moving in with Henry so as to spend more time with him. It goes about as well as you’d expect, especially when Shawn sees something that he cannot unsee. No amount of bleach in the world can scrub that vision from Shawn’s mind.
“The Walking Dead”: After what happened in Woodbury, fans may be worried for Glenn and Maggie’s relationship but co-star Scott Wilson says that both characters will always have Hershel’s support: “He loves them both. He views Glenn as his son and Maggie is his daughter. I think he’s gonna let it play out the way it plays out but he will not lose his love or respect for either one of them, no matter how they ultimately resolve their issues.”
“Once Upon A Time”: In this week’s game-changing episode, Rose McGowan guest stars as a young Cora, daughter of the local miller. It turns out she and Snow White’s mother Eva go way back. Eva wasn’t always the nicest of women and Cora has always had it in for Eva and her family.
“Justified”: As EP Graham Yost promised, we’ll find out who Drew Thompson is in Tuesday’s episode. That’s not the only big development in “The Hatchet Tour,” though. Keep an eye out for the return of a character from earlier in the season, which stirs the pot a little more.
