No, of course not. But the PGA legend is bringing the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl to dinner at his Bay Hill Club & Lodge golf course in Orlando this week during his eponymous invitational golf tournament, which kicks off Thursday (March 21).
But just how is Arnold Palmer getting Kate Upton on his arm this week?
Palmer, 83, tells the AP that Upton’s manager is Lisa Benson, whose father he used to play golf regularly with at Latrobe Country Club, Palmer’s home course in Pennsylvania.
Upton’s parents, Palmer says, are fans of his and so Upton thought it would be great to come to Bay Hill, meet Palmer and see the work he has done with area hospitals. She also plans to be involved with the social media campaign involving the Arnold Palmer tea drink.
So, dinner with one of the hottest models around right now? “That’s been a fun deal,” Palmer says.
The hospitals in question are the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, which is named after Arnold’s late wife. They are top-flight care facilities in central Florida supported by the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation.
