Netflix’s next original series, “Hemlock Grove,” will be released this spring, and the first poster for the show is downright disturbing. If you like creepy and dark mysteries, this might be the one for you.
Based on a Brian McGreevy novel of the same name and executive-produced by Eli Roth, “Hemlock Grove” is a one-hour drama focusing on a murder that occurs in a former Pennsylvania steel town. A 17-year-old girl named Brooke Bluebell is brutally killed, and any person — or creature — in the town could have done it.
The poster for the show definitely reflects some of this mystery. With that hand emerging from what looks like a wolf’s mouth, can we expect the show to deal with werewolves? Or are the evil forces in the town even stranger than that?
As was the case with Netflix’s earlier series, “House of Cards,” “Hemlock Grove” will premiere the entirety of its first 13-episode series at once, on April 19. Considering the central mystery and the creepy premise, this may indeed be a show that viewers will want to marathon.
