Worldside sensation Justin Bieber collapsed on stage during his Thursday (March 7) concert and was later hospitalized, but a spokeswoman for London’s O2 Arena tells Reuters that the singer is expected to perform on Friday.
“The show is still scheduled to go ahead this evening,” says the spokeswoman. “Justin has been released from the hospital after a check-up and, while
he’s feeling a little under the weather, he’s currently planning on
going ahead with tonight’s show.”
Bieber suffered shortness of breath during his performance, was given oxygen by doctors backstage and then completed his set. He went to the hospital later in the evening for precautionary reasons, tweeting that he was “getting better” and posted a picture of himself in bed (shirtless, natch).
He also writes to his fans, “Thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world.”
A rep for the artist says he has not been suffering from any health issues prior to the show. He is scheduled to play two gigs in Lisbon, Portugal on March 11 and 12, after completing his London leg of his European “Believe” tour.
