Rapper Lil Wayne is in a medically induced coma and listed in critical condition in the ICU at a Los Angeles hospital, according to a report by TMZ. Wayne, who has suffered seizures in the past was rushed to the hospital earlier this week after suffering multiple seizures. He was released the following day, but was later found unconscious and brought back to the hospital.
This time around, the “Look At Me Now” rapper’s condition reportedly did not stabilize and he was put into a medically induced coma. It’s also being reported that Wayne’s stomach was pumped multiple times due to a large quantity of codeine found in his system.
Late in 2012, Wayne was on board a private jet that was forced to make an emergency landing when he suffered what appeared to be seizures. The following day he faced another bout.
At the time, Wayne’s symptoms were said to be related to migraine headaches and dehydration. Wayne’s forthcoming album, “I Am Not a Human Being II,” is scheduled for reales March 26.
At 6:30 pm PDT, TMZ updated their story to say “Sources at the hospital tell us Wayne is still in critical condition in the ICU … but stabilizing.”
