“Side Effects” star Mamie Gummer and her actor husband, Benjamin Walker, have decided to end their nearly two-year marriage. A rep for Gummer tells Us Weekly the split is “very amicable.”
Gummer and Walker were engaged in 2009 after meeting on the Broadway stage during a 2008 production of “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.” At the time, Gummer said her mother, Meryl Streep, was a big fan of Walker, who got down on one knee and proposed with a custom ring.
Gummer’s CW show, “Emily Owens, M.D.” was canceled after just one season, airing its last episode in February of this year. Walker recently starred in “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and has two TV movies on the docket.
The pair have been sharing a home in Brooklyn, New York.
