A new iPhone release date rumor is swirling that claims the “iPhone 5S” is going to come out in August 2013. The new model will reportedly be more affordable than previous iterations and be set up as a worldwide device.
The news comes from Chinese tech news website EMSOne, which spoke to analysts at Barclays Capital. If that doesn’t say it already, this report is in full rumor mode and isn’t confirmed by Apple. The dubbed “iPhone 5S” is supposed to be compatible with different worldwide carriers like China Mobile, allowing it to be a global cell phone.
In addition, the newest version of the iPhone will reportedly be the cheapest model yet. AppleInsider.com writes that Apple plans to charge $330 without a service contract for its lowest-model iPhone. The new phone will rumoredly be made out of polycarbonate.
