From the press release:
From “Pretty Little Liars” executive producers I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein, “Ravenswood” will center on a town, not far from Rosewood, PA (the home base of “Pretty Little Liars”), which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations. Five strangers suddenly find themselves connected by this fatal curse and need to dig into the town’s mysterious and terrible history before it’s too late for each of them. The series will premiere on ABC Family following the annual “Pretty Little Liars” special Halloween episode in October 2013.
Do you think the Halloween episode will help introduce the spin-off characters and plot? ABC Family gives Zap2it the scoop.
A spokeswoman for the network says, “It’s safe to assume the Halloween episode will set things up and a few teases may come in the summer season.”
The above teaser trailer makes it look pretty intense — cabins, guns, money, knives and plenty of ravens. Plus, in the photo below, it looks like the population has been changed, but not to subtract someone (as we’ve seen on “Pretty Little Liars”) but to add someone. It goes from 7492 to 7493. Hmmm.
UPDATE: There are two more pictures now. The first is of a ripped “missing” poster — anyone recognize the kid on it? Does it kind of look like Aria’s friend Holden Strauss? And the second says, “In every generation,” which makes us want to finish with, “a slayer is born: one girl in all the world, a chosen one.” Hee.
And rejoice — “Pretty Little Liars” has been renewed for a fifth season, which will premiere (presumably) in the summer of 2014. Season 4 premieres June 11 on ABC Family.
What do you think, “Liars” fans? Let the speculation begin.
