“Psych” is back and after a rip-roaring good time during the season premiere, Season 7 keeps right on rolling with “Juliet Takes a Luvvah,” which sees our intrepid Detective O’Hara going undercover on an online dating site.
But she’s not the only one using the dating site. Gus makes a love connection on there as well. And star Dule Hill says Gus is finally ready to be dating a real woman (as opposed to the loonies he’s found so far).
“In my mind, Gus is perfect as a boyfriend,” says Hill. “He’s had a lot of time to think about it, do different charts about what women look for in a boyfriend. He’s made his list and checked it twice, he’s ready to take the plunge.”
Guest star Parminder Nagra is the girlfriend in question, who Gus is crazy about, but whom Shawn needs some time to warm up to.
“When you change any dynamic in a relationship, there’s going to be some kind of re-shifting,” says creator Steve Franks. “You’ll see that happen with Shawn and Gus. But in the end, I trust that it’ll work out because Shawn and Gus can’t live without each other.”
Franks also teases some double-dating between Gus and Shawn and their respective ladies. — “There’s at least one.”
What else can fans look forward to in “Juliet Takes a Luvvah”?
- Shawn and Lassiter get close during the undercover operation. Real close.
- Shawn’s mom Maddie (Cybill Shepherd) is still in Santa Barbara after Henry’s shooting and for a while, it’s quite the Spencer family reunion at Henry’s house.
- Several relationships on the show take big strides this week, but we’re not telling which ones!
- Don’t let your DVR cut this one off — there’s a pretty hefty reveal in the final frames.
“Psych” airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on USA.
