Law enforcement sources say Michaels passed through a DUI checkpoint in Santa Monica and was pulled over when officers smelled alcohol. After failing to pass all the field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest.
Michaels was released later that night, around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, on his own recognizance. He blew right at the legal limit — 0.8 and 0.9 — on two breathalyzer tests. The sources also tell TMZ Michaels could not have been nicer.
