al-michaels-DUI.jpgSportscaster Al Michaels, currently the play-by-play man for “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, was arrested Friday night (April 19) on suspicion of DUI, reports TMZ.

Law enforcement sources say Michaels passed through a DUI checkpoint in Santa Monica and was pulled over when officers smelled alcohol. After failing to pass all the field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest.

Michaels was released later that night, around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, on his own recognizance. He blew right at the legal limit — 0.8 and 0.9 — on two breathalyzer tests. The sources also tell TMZ Michaels could not have been nicer.
