While NBA star Chris Bosh was out celebrating his birthday on April 3, his house was burglarized of $479K worth of property — while his children were at home with their babysitters.
TMZ reports that, after returning home from a Miami nightclub with his wife, the Miami Heat star noticed he’d been robbed. The police report filed indicates that the crooks walked away with 12 watches worth $300,000, two rings worth $4,000, several purses totaling $155,000, and $20,000 in cash. Quite a haul.
Bosh also told police that he noticed his 2012 NBA championship ring on the floor in his closet, as if the thieves thought twice about snatching that priceless piece of jewelry.
The police report, obtained by TMZ, also details an alarming fact about the incident: Bosh’s children were present in the home during the robbery, along with two babysitters and another teenager. The cops say there was no sign of forced entry, but two of the house’s doors appeared to have been left unlocked.
Footage from the video surveillance system in the residence, as well as from video cameras around the neighborhood, is being studied by the police.
