As news continues to develop in the wake of the explosions at the Boston Marathon, the major television networks are deciding whether or not to adjust their schedules.
According to multiple reports, NBC will preempt tonight’s scheduled episode of “Revolution” to air a one-hour news special focused on the tragic events in Boston, hosted by Brian Williams.
There is no word on how the move will impact the remainder of the season for “Revolution” — which is scheduled to air new episodes until its May 27 season finale.
Meanwhile, CBS will stick with new episodes of its regular comedy block and “Hawaii Five-0” as planned, while there is no word yet from ABC (which has a live episode of “Dancing with the Stars” scheduled) or FOX.
Among the cable news networks, CNN’s Anderson Cooper will host his “AC 360” nightly show live from Boston tonight at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET., and Fox News will have Greta Van Susteren live from Boston from 10 p.m. until midnight ET, when anchor Shephard Smith will take over also from Boston.
