Did you miss the premiere of Starz’s new action drama “Da Vinci’s Demons,” or simply don’t subscribe to Starz? The premium cable channel wants to give the series — created by “Batman Begins” writer David S. Goyer — as much exposure as possible, so they’ve posted the entire premiere episode online for free viewing.
There’s just one catch: The free version is a “TV-14” rated edit that blurs out the naughty bits. And with this show (and pretty much any original series on Starz) there’s a lot of naughty bits. (Yes, that really is “Downton Abbey” star Hugh Bonneville in an uncredited and very naked cameo in the opening moments, and yes it’s uncensored on Starz.)
So, if you like what you see there’s more of that every Friday for the next seven weeks on Starz. We’re taking a cautiously optimistic view for now.
