July 9, 2013:
Bynes is scheduled to appear in a New York courtroom on July 9 to face charges of marijuana possession, evidence tampering, and reckless endangerment following the bong throwing incident.
May 28, 2013:
Following an Internal Affairs investigation, the NYPD reports there is no evidence that Bynes was sexually assaulted by an officer during her arrest. In fact, a civilian witness reports it never happened.
May 27, 2013:
You know things are bad when rocker and actress Courtney Love tells you to “pull it together,” which is exactly what Love tweets to Bynes. The actress responds by tweeting, “Courtney Love is the ugliest woman I’ve ever seen. To be mentioned by her at all makes me and all my friends laugh!” And by “friends,” she might mean her now 1.4 million Twitter followers.
May 26, 2013:
Bynes sends a series of cyber-bullying tweets to singer Rihanna, including “You look so ugly tryin to be white … Chris Brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough.” Bynes would later claim she was framed and never sent the tweets.
May 25, 2013:
Bynes claims via Twitter that she was falsely arrested, and sexually assaulted by an NYPD officer. “He slapped my vagina. Sexual harassment. Big deal,” Bynes tweets. It’s reported the actress’ parents are looking into a conservatorship, but her psychiatric evaluation while in police custody suggests she is mentally sound. Bynes’ parents believe she may be schizophrenic or bipolar.
May 24, 2013:
Bynes’ two new mug shots are released. In the first booking photo, she wears a long, platinum blonde wig. In the second, Bynes sports a completely shaven head.
May 23, 2013:
Bynes is arrested in New York City and taken for a psychiatric evaluation. The actress reportedly threw a glass marijuana bong out the window of her apartment when cops responded to a report of a disorderly person. She also dialed 911 during her arrest. Bynes spent the night in jail, then was released without bail after claiming the bong she threw was actually “just a vase.”
May 9, 2013:
Bynes’ attorney in LA strikes a plea deal on her driving with a suspended license charges. A judge gives the actress three-years probation and issues a $300 fine. At this point, Bynes’ only remaining charge is a DUI.
May 6, 2013:
Bynes reveals she had a nose job, and she will continue to harp on that fact for weeks to come. “I look so much prettier in my new photos that I don’t want old photos used anymore,” Bynes explains.
Apr. 30, 2013:
Bynes tweets topless photos, and gripes about her figure. “I weigh 135, I’ve gained weight! I need to be 100 lbs!,” she writes.

Bynes posts photos of her mostly shaved head on Twitter.
Apr. 16, 2013:
Bynes lashes out at Complex magazine via Twitter, calls her “ex,” rapper Kid Cudi “ugly,” and actress Aubrey Plaza‘s Complex cover photo “awful.” Bynes again laments her media attention and says she wants “every fake article deleted.”
Apr. 12, 2013:
Bynes lashes out at “ugly” gossip blogger, Perez Hilton, who posted photos of the actress that she didn’t approve.
Apr. 11, 2013:
Bynes announces via Twitter she has shaved her head. She also tells followers she does not speak to her parents anymore, and sends a message to the media requesting they only use certain approved photos of her in their stories. Bynes claims she is suing a myriad of media outlets for falsely reporting on her “erratic behavior.”
Apr. 10, 2013:
Bynes is photographed roaming around New York City smoking what appears to be a joint. She also forms a bizarre alliance with reality star Kim Kardashian, who is “obsessed with [Bynes’] new makeover” and thinks Bynes “looks amazing.” While Bynes sends her love to “the beautiful Kardashian sisters” via Twitter, she also laments her own “fat,” “pregnant”-looking appearance.

Aug. 4, 2012:
Car accident No. 4: Bynes is accused of hit-and-run by a Los Angeles woman who says the actress “looked like a hot mess.” Bynes allegedly tries to repair the other driver’s bumper on the spot, then drives away after being asked to exchange information. She later deletes all previous tweets from her Twitter profile.
June 6, 2012:
Bynes appears in court to plead not guilty to driving while intoxicated when she sideswiped a cop car.
May 26, 2012:
Bynes tweets, “I cant help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don’t drink so the DUI is false.”
June 5, 2012:
Bynes is officially charged with driving under the influence, stemming from the April 6 arrest. She takes to Twitter to ask President Barack Obama for help getting the arresting officer fired. “I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end,” Bynes writes to Obama, who didn’t respond.
May 5, 2012:
Car accident No. 3: Bynes is pulled over by the LAPD after sideswiping yet another vehicle, this time in a black Range Rover. Cops take a traffic collision report and later say Bynes “didn’t even know she was involved in an accident.”
Apr. 10, 2012:
Car accident No. 2: A driver accuses Bynes of a hit-and-run on a San Fernando Valley freeway. Bynes was reportedly driving a rented BMW.
