The 35-year-old footballer reportedly violated his probation because he has failed to report to his probation officer twice and has failed to show proof that he enrolled in a domestic violence education class, leading Broward County judge to issue an arrest warrant for Johnson last week.
Johnson appeared in court Monday (May 20), where he was placed under arrest. Bail is due to be set sometime later in the day.
The probation stems from Johnson’s 2012 arrest for domestic violence, when he allegedly head-butted then-wife Evelyn Lozada, who has since filed for divorce. At the time, Johnson received no jail time for the incident, just one year probation and an order to seek counseling, which he has now reportedly been arrested for violating.
