One Direction fans are in for a treat. The British boy band announced during a press conference that they have a new album on the way that will be “rockier” and “edgier” than what has come before.
“[We] had the chance to work with a lot of great writers and stuff, but we just made it a bit more edgier,” Liam Payne says of the album, which is expected to come out by the holidays. “Just subtle changes here and there so it kind of grows as we grow.”
The band is also planning a 2014 world tour called “Where We Are Tour.” Leading man Harry Styles confirmed some locations on his Twitter, posting, “We cannot believe we’re announcing a tour in 2014. Latin America, Uk, ireland.. Rest of the world, keep your ears open.”
The tour will start in Columbia on April 25, 2014 and continue around the world after. Niall Horan tweets, “Keep you’re eyes pealed! Please don’t be disappointed if your country wasnt announced! We will be announcing more over the year!”
If this wasn’t enough already, 1D promises yet another big announcement is on the way as well.
