Robin Roberts has had a difficult journey since being diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, and now she’s going to share it with the world. The “Good Morning America” anchor has signed a deal with Grand Central Publishing and is slated to release a memoir of her story in spring 2014.
Roberts has already been candid about her struggles with disease, and received a Peabody award for the way she was open about her illness on “GMA.” Roberts returned to ABC back in February.
“I am humbled that many have an interest, and draw strength from my on-going journey,” Roberts says in a statement about the memoir to E! News, adding that she’s “grateful for the prayers and well wishes of so many people.”
