Sheryl Crow disappointed on the 2013 CMT Music Awards red carpet — wait, make that purple and black carpet — but there were plenty of lovely looks to make up for it. Here are the ladies who had heads turning for the right reasons:
Performer Carrie Underwood, who arrived on the arm of her husband and birthday boy Mike Fisher, opted for a turquoise shorts and jacket set that showcased her perfectly sculpted gams. The shape of the suit could have easily caused the look to go the wrong way, but the bits of sheer fabric added just the right amount of sexy.
Taylor Swift still poses awkwardly on the carpet after all these years, but her simple taupe cocktail gown with monochromatic embellishments and an asymmetrical hemline is a win.
The Band Perry front woman Kimberly Perry donned an orange floor-length gown with ruching at the bustline and lace-filled cutouts around her waist. The color is a perfect compliment to her skin tone and blonde locks.
“The Voice” Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope wore a silver glittery cocktail dress that was paired perfectly with some arm hardware. Extra points for her peek-a-boo blonde highlights.
Multiple nominee Kacey Musgraves also opted for a sequined cocktail dress with three-quarter length sleeves, and a hemline that was short enough to showcase her stems — but not so short that she has to watch her back if she drops her lipstick.
Now it’s your turn to weigh in: Who did you think was best dressed at the CMT Music Awards?
