The 2013 NBA draft started with a surprise when the Cleveland Cavaliers chose power forward Anthony Bennett from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Bennett became the first Canadian to be selected as the top pick in the draft, and was not a favorite heading into the draft.
The Orlando Magic followed and selected shooting guard Victor Oladipo of Indiana. The Washington Wizards picked small forward Otto Porter Jr. of Georgetown.
The Charlotte Bobcats went fourth and nabbed presumptive top pick Cody Zeller, a center from Indiana.
The Phoenix Suns rounded out the top five and nabbed center Alex Len of Maryland.
